Our objective was to develop OnParty, a mobile application that tackles common pain points in party discovery and planning. Users often struggle to find parties matching their interests and location, lack social features to connect with friends or like-minded individuals, and find party planning cumbersome due to difficulty in finding reliable vendors. Existing apps might also have confusing interfaces. OnParty addresses these issues by offering a robust search and recommendation system for party discovery, seamless social integration to connect users and see friends' plans, a recommendation engine for party planning professionals, an intuitive user interface for effortless navigation, and a platform designed for both partygoers seeking exciting events and party hosts looking to create successful gatherings through the app's planning resources. We successfully launched the OnParty app and continue to provide ongoing maintenance and updates.

Problem

The current party scene presents challenges for both partygoers and hosts. Finding exciting parties that align with interests and location can be a struggle. Existing options might lack strong social features, making it difficult to connect with friends or like-minded individuals. Planning a successful party is often time-consuming, requiring the hassle of finding reliable vendors for services like DJs, catering, and security. Furthermore, existing apps might have confusing interfaces that hinder the party discovery and creation process.  OnParty seeks to bridge this gap by offering a one-stop solution for a more connected and enjoyable nightlife experience.

Solution

1. Party Discovery & Attendance System: We developed a search and recommendation engine that utilizes location data, user preferences, and friend activity to deliver relevant party options.

2. Social Feature Integration: We implemented functionalities that display friends' party plans and facilitate connections between users with similar interests, fostering a more social experience.

3. Streamlined Party Planning Recommendations: We built a recommendation engine that connects users with a curated list of party planning professionals like DJs, artists, security personnel, and catering services, based on pre-defined criteria and user reviews (if applicable).

4. Intuitive User Interface Design: We prioritized a user-friendly interface with clear navigation, logical information hierarchy, and well-defined functionalities to make discovering or creating a party effortless.

5. Dual User Focus: We designed OnParty to cater to both user segments: Partygoers seeking exciting events based on their preferences. Party hosts looking to create successful events through the app's planning resources.

6. App Launch & Ongoing Maintenance: We successfully launched the OnParty app on relevant mobile platforms and continue to provide ongoing maintenance and updates to ensure optimal functionality.
